Columbian rock and rollers No Stories will be performing at this years Canadian Music Week. We had a nice chat with the band about their upcoming trip to Canada!
Hammer Records: Tell us what you think of when you think Canadian Music?
No Stories: Neil Young obviously comes to mind, Mac DeMarco, Alvvays, Grimes! We once saw her play a church in Austin, Texas and it was like a satanic ritual, but in a cool way. And of course, He Who Must Not Be Named (Bieber).
Hammer Records: How did you get involved in Canadian Music Week?
No Stories: To us rock & roll has no borders, and we're always on the look out for opportunities to play in different places and take our music to new audiences. We applied and were fortunate enough to get invited to this great celebration of music in one of the greatest cities around.
Hammer Records: What do you have planned for Canadian Music Week?
No Stories: Dancers, fireworks, you know the usual! Just kidding--honest rock & roll to move your feet, catchy melodies to stick in your brain, just a group of guys who are happiest when on stage, coming all the way from Colombia to give it everything we've got.
Hammer Records: What message do you want to send to Canadians listening to your music?
No Stories: Thanks for 3 minutes of your time! If you love 60s pop, garage and punk, we will be good friends. And if you're in Toronto come say hi and see us play on May 7th at 9 PM at Cherry Cola's.
Hammer Records: Whats coming up for you?
No Stories: We've got a brand new EP called "Let's Get Away" coming out, and a very cool new music video for the title track you can check out soon on our Youtube page. You can listen to us everywhere: iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, my grandma's house etc. And our website is [TheNoStories.com]. Much love.
