I don't think I've seen a group rise to stardom so quickly. The second this trio was formed, Hammer Records kept seeing their name pop up. Powerhouses on their own, the joined forced quickly became a leading Country act in Vancouver. We had a quick chat with The Heels about their BCCMA nomination.
Hammer Records: What does Country music mean to you?
Artist: Country music to The Heels is a heart warming genre of music that feels like home to us. Country music is emotional, it's authentic, and it allows us to touch our audience with a wide mix of emotions.
Hammer Records: How does it feel to be nominated for an award? What do you think made you stand out?
Artist: We feel honoured to be nominated for the BC Country Music Awards. We believe it is our enthusiastic hard work, and our upbeat dedication to our dreams that has made us stand out!
Hammer Records: What do you have coming up in the future for your fans?
Artist: The Heels future is FULL of new music for our fans! We are currently recording a huge mix of self written songs and working all the new tunes into a powerful show for our fans to enjoy next year.
Hammer Records: Do you think there are enough venues playing country music? What do you want to say to the fans of country music?
Artist: We feel the fan base of county music is growing with all of the current crossovers happening today. There will always be room for more country music venues! To the fans of country music The Heels would like to say THANK YOU for supporting Canadian Country Music and Women of Country music!
