Best In Vancouver: Switch To Black

This Surrey band will be bringing their brand of Desert Punk Rock to Vancouver's Studio Records. I had a chat with them about their thoughts on the Best In Vancouver competition.

James: How did you find out about "Best In Vancouver"?
Switch To Black: A band we met last year, at the City of Surrey’s BandAid Workshop, put us in touch with Rednyne Productions. When we saw they were looking for a band to fill-in at the last minute, we jumped at the chance to be included.

James: What sets you apart from other bands?
Switch To Black: I’m going to say it’s our sweet baby faces and youthful mix of hard rock, heavy metal and punk.

James: Do you have anything special for your show planned?
Switch To Black: We’ll be hitting the stage with a few new songs and enough wild and crazy energy to power the block!

James: What do you think about battle of the bands competitions and how they influence the scene?

Switch To Black: I think these contests help bring attention to a wide range of local bands, helps us hone our skills, and make valuable connections with other musicians and mentors.
We’re excited to participate in Best in Vancouver for a second year.
