Coming all the way from Brazil, Fire Department Club is going to bring the heat to Canadian Music Week. We had a quick chat about their upcoming performance.
Fire Department Club: Even though we're all brazilians, many canadian artists influenced us over the past years. Bands like Arcade Fire, Metric and The Stills helped us shaping the sound of Fire Dept. Club.
Hammer Records: How did you get involved in Canadian Music Week?
Fire Department Club: Last year we had the opportunity to debut in north american ground. We played CMJ Music Marathon and a couple of gigs in NYC. Los Angeles and San Francisco. Everyone we met told us we should apply for Canadian Music Week in 2016, so here we are!
Hammer Records: What do you have planned for Canadian Music Week?
Fire Department Club: We'll be releasing a new EP during CMW, so people can expect great and fresh songs from this tropical indie/synthpop foursome. We love to transform our shows into a dancefloor - be ready to get loose!
Hammer Records: What message do you want to send to Canadians listening to your music?
Fire Department Club: Hi guys! We're dying to finally meet you and we're sure we'll be perfect a match! Love from Brazil
