#CMW Artist Showcase - Trevor Alguire

Trevor Alguire is going to bringing his roots inspired music to Toronto to play at the Canadian Music Week. We had a fantastic conversation with Trevor about the upcoming performance.

Hammer Records: Tell us what you think of when you think Canadian Music?
Trevor Alguire: Kitchen Party’s of days long past, Stompin' Tom Connors, CBC Radio and endless drive’s through heavily wooded areas.

Hammer Records: How did you get involved in Canadian Music Week?
Trevor Alguire:  was selected by CMW to showcase at this years event and look forward to representing Canada May 5th at The Cadillac Lounge.

Hammer Records: What do you have planned for Canadian Music Week?
Trevor Alguire: Most importantly playing our asses off in support of my upcoming release…. I thought of wearing a space suit to garner that extra attention but will likely let the music speak for itself.

Hammer Records: What message do you want to send to Canadians listening to your music?
Trevor Alguire: That there are many stories and songs with a long standing history right here in your own country that are well worth listening to ….Canada produces some of the best and most relevant music in the world these days and to pay attention and support your own.

Hammer Records: Whats coming up for you?
